tfw maniacs: Please share your insight and wisdom on the best way to increase the power and utility of one's deck. Specifically, how can you get the most bang for your buck? (Random packs, market, keep cards tourney, leagues)? For all of you pros, what would be the best way to become competitive IF you were a brand new player? (Phrasing this in several ways to avoid answers that only focus on gaining experience). How would you spend your hard-earned gold and power to increase odds of future success? Thanx in advance to all respondents! |

Commons are best and most cheaply obtained from domain leagues. This applies to some of the cheapest uncommons too. The tax at the market (5%) is rounded up, so if someone is selling a card for a net gain of 1 gold, you have to pay 2 gold for it, which of 1 goes to developers. I wish anything costing less than 10 g was made tax-free, but no hope I'm afraid. Trying to get elemental cards from a domain league is probably not wise in any case. For most cards in the 20+ range I think putting highest offers in the market is the cheapest way to get them. Of course you have to follow the prices for a while to know when the highest offers are already so high that it's not wise to raise them. I'm using a sort of a self-made rule that if I can easily sell the card for at least 10% more than what I paid for it, it wasn't too expensive. If you don't have good skills and a lot of experience with drafts, you are not likely to get good bang for your buck from Keep Cards, I would say. Only the highest rated people seem to be entering Keep Cards, so all of the prize money is likely to go into their pockets. If you score last, you have to pick a lot of expensive cards to break even with the fee to enter, and a lot of times it probably won't be possible. |

I joined Domain II League, rolled a 4-sided die, and Elemental "won". My army has been set and I will be looking for opponents tonight. So, do I keep every card I drew at the end of the league? And if yes, does that include the collection of domain buildings too? Finally, are additional packs added to the 3 I already have or is this it? Inquiring minds want to know. Again, thanks for the advice and feedback. Don't be shy posters and ghosters. Tally-ho, DarkJello (All shall jiggle before me)! |

No. Every player already have 5 of each domail buildings. Why do you need them?DarkJello wrote: Finally, are additional packs added to the 3 I already have or is this it? Inquiring minds want to know. Additional packs can be added after each week if you want to, but each new pack cost 150g. You also can select pack of another domain if you want.

I learned about the game by playing aloth of brass leagues. It is a great way to experiment with all the cards that exist in the game without having to buy them. When you have played some of these I would suggest the domain league. It is 500 gold for one month of fun, and if you are lucky (like me) you can sell the rare cards you get and have your 500 gold back. |
