I think it would be quite fun to have a "Bounty" program... where a player can place a Bounty on another player's head.. It would work something like this: Any player can place a Bounty on another player. When they do so, money from the Bounty Setter's account is put into the Bounty Fund. Any number of players can place a Bounty on any one particular player. Any player can place Bounties on more than one player. Bounties are non-refundable. When a player defeats a player that has a Bounty on his/her head, the player will get the full reward of the Bounty from the Bounty Fund IF and ONLY IF the defeating player is a Bounty Hunter. In order to become a Bounty Hunter, you must place a Bounty of at least 10gp on any player. Bounties only count if the match is a Ladder Match, Anyone Match, Challenge Match, Brass Match, or Domain Match. They do count if the match was a Practice match. |

people do not have too much incentive to place bounties on each other currently... this isnt an overly active forum and many members would place the minimum, just to be a bounty killer. At the start, its all good. Fast foward 3 months, and there lots of bounty hunters, and few bounty left. How about, we make it kinda like ladder. You 'buy' a license to be a bounty hunter for 10 gp. You can then hunt bounties for the next 14 days. The bounty? The bounty hunter's license fees of last week, distributed in a decreasing manner of the top 10(or top something) players of last week's ladder, minus 5% for TFW Example: Today, Jed and Keyser and a bunch of people bought licences. Each lost 10gold, making the pot 95gold(assume 10 bounty hunters total) Fast foward to when ladder ends in... 2 days.... top players of THIS WEEK is ladderbot6454 ladderfarmer34 noobilly5346 etc etc. So, ladderbot6454 has a bounty of 44 gold on his head, ladderfarmer34 has 40 gold on his head, noobilly5346 has 35 gold on his head, etc etc. The bounty is accumulative!!! Note, if people are using alts, this COULD be abused. But then again, the original system above would suffer a similar fate. Also, it would help decrease the top player's ranking if they lose. |

You need to place a bounty to become a bounty hunter...if your bounty is collected you're no longer a hunter until you place another. You cannot collect more bounty for a kill than your total amount of bounties placed. Overall, alts are damaging to the game and I don't know what a good solution is. |

Not to be harsh but this already seems gimmicky and it's not even out of the gate. I'm not one to stomp on creativity but there's other things that need our attention. I'd prefer a focus on assimilating beginners if we're looking to make changes. This is a weak point in TFW and a critical one. I don't want to completely derail this thread but at one point there was talk about a league rewarding phantom cards. Where are we at with this? |

I don't think ladder abusers need any more of an incentive . That being said, I think this could be a fun idea, but I also think it would be totally underused and not really worth the devs time at the moment. |

Umm...how could a "legitimate player" get first, second, and third place while proving a point to jed? Oh wait, I guess it's just 3 legitimate players that had the same idea on the same week, my mistake. |

Nah, I don't think it's three. Probably one or two players each with a couple dozen alternate accounts. And besides, the easiest way to force change is to abuse something. BTW-- NO, it's not me. As I've said in the past, I'm far too lazy to create additional accounts. |
