This is just a rant. But isnt it boring to know what deck your opponent is going to play every time. It sucks when people create one good deck but never manage to find the time to build another to play another.

Any new deck that I do always worse than previous
I'm waiting for next rebalancing as I always was doing :) This was the only reason to start new deck.

I have about 6 playable/competitive decks, and I don't have a very large collection (despite my having been around for so long).

Personally, I get really bored playing the same things over and over... and if you're too predictable, people will just play decks to beat you. I actually make a point of NOT playing what I believe to be my best deck, as I am saving that particular card configuration for the next GC.

I have yet to see anyone copy my current deck (though grug has one similar from before borderlands).

I do like making new decks but I often need to acquire a large number of new cards to make something new. I put offers on stuff i want for new decks though. However when I find a deck that seems to work well I will start tweaking it, trying singles of some cards, adjusting numbers of others until i get to a configuration that i like the most. Plus its much cheaper than making a whole new deck.

When there are a large number of other people with similar decks to mine or if I can't find any more improvements to make to my current deck I'll probably start working on a new deck. But as long as I keep winning I have little reason to change.

Totally agree with UBER.
Though i acknowledge that there are various types of players... (look for tragic the gardening theory of players). I like the experimentations and wacky situations/fun over a win anyday. Though making decks can sometimes be a drag.

That said, i personally have well over 50 decks, many totally ridiculously different then the previous one. And that with a modest collection. Ive won a couple of thousand gold through clashes, so i guess some of them are also competitive too.

Sadly current clashes are just boring. And many people also fine tune those decks outside the ec's to the point of feeling clairvoyant against them once the first card is played. Sometimes its like watching a movie you've seen gazillion times. Its either
-DL high domain,
-weenie one domain rush,
-dorf/el forts
all decks are just carbon copies of each other.

On the upswing casual play has never been better if only people would play more. People other than Themist who i end up playing 95% of the time, cause the others sorta just sit there in the lobby afk. Though i do play too much recently... need to cut back.

Ive just started to tailor make some decks to defeat precise certain decks (the people who keep playing the goddamn same thing) in the hope of jumpstarting their imaginations. We'll see how it works out.

As a side note, these people have really optimized their respective decks to the point of near perfection, so kudos to them. Everybody enjoys different aspects of the game.

Guilty as charged. I forum/lobby/market lurk far more than I actually play. I don't log in frequently enough to join most leagues, but I'll never turn down a game of Shark Tank.

I just want to say this wasnt aimed at you angel. Ive only been playing against your dl deck for a about 2 weeks consistantly, there are other deck types and Ill be a gentleman and not mention anything. I guess Im just asking everyone to add some spice to the game. Theres more than power to the game, if your playing the same deck over and over power is pointless.

I'm guilty of playing the same deck all the time. I've come up with an original deck idea before, it won consistently too 75% or more. It got nerfed hardcore. If I try to build a deck that is similar to someone elses it fails miserably. I typically drop 100 rating points when trying out something new. Sylvan got nerfed a while back, so I was building MF, then most of the good MF stuff got nerfed.

I have a new idea in mind that is original. But I don't have all of the cards to build it. And when making something original if you don't have all the cards it often doesn't work properly. I'll slowly pickup the cards I need.

Yeah, not trying to offend anyone that dosnt have the cards for another deck. Just saying its a game issue.

I don't believe anyone takes offense to your statement Uber...I don't anyway. As much as I play I agree with the people above, I would love to put together another deck but unfortunately the cost of getting a hold of all the cards for said deck would be beyond my means so I end up spending won gold on tweaking the one I have.

I'd be cool if there was a type of game that would offer both players access to all the cards to put together a deck and play. I'd be making decks like gang busters, of course said game type would only allow those decks to be played in that forum. This idea my be good for new players so they could learn all the cards quicker than phantoms and also increase spending since if a player loves a deck they put together they might be more apt to spend some money to build it for constructed play.
