You no longer get flux from sacrificing entities with Salvage. So no more feeding diplomats to the altar of Ix.

something is buggy -- diplomat still gives salvage flux when sacrificed.

Hail mighty Possession on freshly casted Diplomat!
thanks jed, makes things much easier for DL :) (just a different kind of things.)

Ha I was going to say basically what zurken just said.Basically playing a dip against DL now sucks, you cast, they possess and sac, you are hosed. Kinda lame I think, especially since there are so many DL decks out there, odds are you will be playing them.

as far as I can tell, the original fix has not been implemented. so, how do you know that the developers aren't adding a check to see if the player sacrificing is different than the player that cast? in fact, I think this is likely since the current behavior is to give flux to the original caster when a possessed salvage-giving figure is sacrificed ... so all the necessary data structures already exist!

Queeshai, if no salvage is given for sacrifices whatsoever (which is what jed said in this thread...) then it wouldn't matter who owned the figure being sacrificed. Now, I'm not saying that it won't be changed, but as jeds wording is now, I would be surprised indeed if it gave anyone salvage. Now, if the change hasn't actually been implemented...that is a different thing altogether.

to be precise, he said that you no longer get flux for sacrificing entities in question. he said nothing about your opponent getting flux for said actions. which, in this case, is precisely the desired effect.

Oh, I understand. So he just said that I don't get salvage. This means that everyone else does, just not me, sorry I didn't understand. Oh wait, that's retarded. If he said, "you can no longer cast creatures". does that mean that you can't cast creatures, but your opponent can?No. It means creatures cannot be cast. And define "desired effect". I do not desire my opponent to get salvage while I don't.
That said, salvage is still obtained from sacrificing diplomats, so is this to kick in at a later date, or is it just not doing what it is supposed to be doing at the moment?

This thread gave me a headache.

He said you dont get salvage back when you sacrifice entities. Not you dont get salvage back when your opponent sacrifices them for you.

What jed said is still very vague and I'm not sure if thats true.
