I wasn't sure if this should go in Strategy section, so I'll play it safe and put it here. This idea came along when I was observing an EC match between DarkSmello and some other guy. I don't know how, but Smello ran out of cards and therefore resigned. So back to my question: Is milling effective? Or is it just better off as an MTG concept? |

I can't think of a single mill card in this game. |

Altren The Miller MMM3 Creature 3 | 8 | 4 | 3 | 0 3 flux: remove 10 cards from target enemy's deck. Isn't this effective mill card? |

Yeah, the only form of "milling" TFW really has right now is to just make your opponent discard all their cards and keep discarding. Knowing Despair, Astridian Forum, etc. And yes, I know, that's discard strategy-- but fundamentally, discard is a form of milling. |

Dude, 3 turns of this empties a deck . 1 turn against DL in a mid game .. =-O want 3 copies, please, asap.. Zblader: discarding is annoying like hell, but easy to get around, usually, at least with cards here. |

There is one milling card out there, the snooping goblin which draws cards off of an opponents deck if he is in your opponents territory. There really isn't much available to mill effectively. Milling would be a useful strategy with cards that allowed it though. |

Mmmmm... Snooping Goblin... I guess that would qualify Defection as a mill card, too, to a lesser degree... |

I would say obviously there is not really any viable means of "milling" if by that you mean taking opponents cards as your own. But I would also say that I've seen one very cool discard deck |

sigh. since I'll never get 3x (or even 1x) snooping goblin anyway ... here is the snooping goblin milling deck: 3x snooping goblin 3x morph 3x camoflage 3x teleport 3x call to battle 3x bell of dorn 3x flux capacitor 3x telda bloom 3x bindweed (23 other cards) put three goblins in opponent territory. activate bell of dorn. draw three cards from opponent's deck. discard to flux capacitor. repeat. |
