So, how do you best characterize TFW in a short, slogan-like description ? This is taken from a TFW fanpage on Facebook (where I am not yet a member...): A MMO-TB-Hex-VCCG (Massive Multiplayer Online TurnBased HexBoard Virtual Collectable Card Game) Accurate, but not very sexy Any other suggestions? |

A TCG where the cards become pieces of a board game. A game that combines the strategy archtype of board games along with the aspect of a TCG. An MMO that completley rewrites cards games rules. (seriously, I haven't seen another card game with a strategy element like this one.) A game where the players contribute as much as the developers do (scripting system =YAY) |

I usually describe it as a cross between a turn-based strategy game and a CCG. Most turn based strategy games use hexes, so that comes with the territory. And it's not really MMO: games are typically 1v1 affairs - unlike some other strategy games (and especially role playing games) in which 30 people or more will interact within the same game. |

A combination of Magic The Gathering, Risk, and Settlers of Catan. |

Turnbased Strategy game with elements of tabletop and CCG combined. Definetly not an MMO. MMOs are like world of warcraft. |
