You really should, at least once, try a 5x5 map. It was.. amusing 5x5 map with two earthworks out on my side and two obelisks on the opponent's side.. it was not pretty LOL |

AND you should try the opposite... max map size and max flux wells. It ends up being a very... ... ... "nomadic" game. |

My first 5x5 game left me with a single spot to place a building, and nowhere to spawn anything. Over half the map was water. Needless to say I was f'd. lol |

Not custom as in you design it, it is still a random map like any other game, but you "create a battle" then invite AI, which is a button on the top right corner of the window where you pick your army to use. You can change all of the parameters to your liking as if you were playing another opponent then invite the AI, that's all. Try a 5x5 map with 20 starting flux, but set the goal at 30 glory.. it gets ugly ROFL As a caveat, make sure you have swimmers and/or fliers in your deck, I have seen maps with only two land spaces when they get that small. |
