How is it determined? it seems quite arbitrary... it isn't the POV of wither player, nor is it a god's-eye view of the whole field.. you kind of get left hoping to catch something in the dark. Is there some reasoning behind what you can and can't see? I kind of understand that if you allowed a god's-eye view, there can be third-party spotters passing info to the players and all, but it's of very little use as it is.

I just realized that it shows areas where both players' field of vision overlaps. Still rather annoying...

I know what you mean I felt the same way when I watched a game however after thinking about it I don't know of a better way.

You can't show anything that both players can't see or it would be an advantage. All someone playing a game would have to do is have a friend (or 2nd account) watch that game and IM them what they saw.

Having a "Fog of War" in a game like this is actually quite revolutionary.

After I realized how they decided what to show, I have to agree, I can't think of a better way to do it that would be fair. Shame.

i have to agree, although it is quite annoying you cant really see the game, this function might as well be killed as it sits now for you get less information then of the other players, its not really possable to view a game being played.

Eventually we will allow players to grant other players a view of what you can see this way watchers can see more of their friend's games.

That's right, you had mentioned that. It's very awkward the way it is, but I thought perhaps we could come up with a better alternative. If there is one, I'm not smart enough to think of it. :-(

There should be concent to allow full view by outsiders, this way you can protect matches that matter but allow people to view, this would be particularly usefull in showing people the ins and outs of play as there learning the game.

I agree that it's good way to learn how to play, but you never can be sure that outsider is friend of your enemy or his second account :(
I think that there should be some option when creating battle to allow see your game.

Jed has said on a few occasions that it is in the works to do it that way. He said there will essentially be an "invite" option to invite people to watch who will see your whole side as you do. I think that is the best suitable way to run it.. at least, I can't think of a better way...
