Okay, deck selection, there is a lot of stuff i am not going to cover(like playing with any of those sissy dwarf hands)...but some general key components to deck building are:

1)Get every building known to man into your deck, i am serious, you cant control a node unless you have a building by it. Your buildings give you the flux points needed to cast spells (including other buildings). Therefore, the more buildings you have at flux points, the more flux you have (And domain level you have), the more flux you have, the better to win. You'll be using your creatures to find the nodes for you (you can build buildings within thier eyesight, so always have them looking/standing at those nodes).

2)Get a couple general strategies. For me, i like using the corpses to do my work(btw corpses are stationary and only do damage if an opponent moves through them, think of them like mines that can be eaten up or upgraded). I will cast Ancient battlefields, then I use my carrion to eat them(to get +s on attacks and defense). But i can also use my journeyman necro to turn them to zombies, or i can summon some guys off them, etc. Anyway, my point is to use a group of cards to create a basis for a strategy. Then bulk up those strategies with cards that would help out.

3)It takes a couple tries but you will need to balance your deck out. You don't want ten zillion lightning bolts...or do you? 8-) ,nah, you need some creatures, and some of those really cool enchantments, cause they are nasty. Just work it to a nice balance through trial and error...hmmm, a zillion lightning bolt deck of destruction mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

4)Next take your deck out for a spin, work out the bugs, because unless you're me, you can't get it perfect the first time... :?

5)Now after that, when you finally have your ultimate, keyed in deck, maybe just maybe, i'll let you take me on...see ya on the battlefield

Right about that ultimate deck of yours...
Altren and grug are the players to beat really. They have pretty amazing decks.

You really don't need every building. You can place a building in an area you don't control, you just need a unit or something giving you sight to that space. When you place a building outside of your controlled area it starts as a construction site and has 4 construction counters on it. A counter is removed every round the building doesn't take any damage and becomes a the building when it has no counters remaining.

As for point #3, about overstacking your deck with one card. I'm not sure if you're aware, but you can only have 3 of the same card in your deck.

Yes, I was pretty sure you knew you couldn't have a zillion cards, being as a zillion isn't a real number. I wasn't sure if you were aware of the limit though.

Lies! The sky is not the limit.
If that were true, space travel would not be possible.

The sky isn't the limit for those species either!
We've taken quite a few of them into space with us.

Well if we're going to just argue by majority. The ground is the limit.

There are more creatures unable to take flight, than can fly.

Maybe the ocean is the limit...
There's probably more fish and things that can swim then anything else.

So the ocean is the limit!

As for the thread digressing, I gotta say it's ok, because we've turned this into something much more important!
