i played some browser games (and i love to play warcraft3), the most are too "simply"
thefarwilds isnt simply, thats good and i like this game
i must play without the 3D client, he didnt work on my laptop because of my graficcard, but i dont care
if this game should be successful, it will be need a "campaign" a "singel player modus" with story,quests and so on.

http://www.warstorm.com a really simple game, but it have a "singel modus" which tell us some infos about the world and we feel like we have a mission that we have to complete. such missions give us advice what to do next (or we have a feeling like this).
and this "singel modus" is very easy to make.
you need a AI named "the trees" and then you make a deck with only trees in it, so you can make enemies and "quest"mobs
in this game you win first 10x against the AI and then??????
you cant get really gold, you cant get cards, you only waiting 10 min for a game in Free Intro.

you need a noobfriendly game, always to be successful
my suggestion:
make the game not too difficult, for beginers or the beginners will leave.
- make a "simple" singel mission campain
- give us a starter deck! so we can trade and collecting cards,
because a TCG without to have own cards is really shit, and i wont play 1 month to get my first 40 cards for a deck! nobody would normally
- let the player choose (maybe after they have won the 10wins against the AI) the starter deck they like and give them (maybe after some "quest" enemies a booster) then the trade and the fun! will begin and fun is the important fakt in a game, not hard work(on tournaments).
- i understand that you want earn money(9,99 starter deck) but nobody will spend money on a not popular and player "unfriendly" game. remember this.
this game have really big weak points
