Like-

*Interesting cards that grant bonuses based on terrain & cards that alter terrain.

*You can try the game for free.

*Free events, sealed, draft etc.

*Card art is great.

*Very interesting game concept.

*Direct access to game designers.

Don't Like-

*Random map generation that far too often results in a major terrain advantage for one player or the other.

*Auto draw...the game shouldn't have features that prevent you from getting cards you need. Either make the draw completely random or allow a basic building of each domain type in the deck in opening hand and get rid of auto draw.

*Once you get behind, you very rarely can make a come back. Especially if you get behind on flux...its all but over.

*Seems like half the creatures can see 1/4 to 1/2 of the map...need some slightly bigger maps.

* Doesn't seem to be enough card draw in the game...

*The client itself is rather clunky...I notice sometimes it can eat up to 80% of my cpu and if I want to read a abillity on a card I have to mouse over the abillity text (A good idea in itself) but once i move my mouse over to where the card is it vanishes...I don't know how to make a card stay selected so I can read abillities off the card....

*Graphics. Its hard to tell some units from other without mousing over them, even when zoomed in.

These are just my first impressions of the game after about a couple of weeks of trying it. When I was first reading about the game I saw that it was possible to win gold without a money investment...from what I've seen/heard about the game it seems this really isn't possible despite how good the default decks.

All in all i like the game and I think it can really become a great game...it just needs a little more polish & balance. If not for the map terrain screw jobs, auto-draw and the mini-maps I could overlook the other problems and invest some money to try competing with some better cards and decks but from what I've seen it wouldn't really make too much difference...so in closing I'll check in from time to time to see how the game developes.

Valid points for the most part, but I'd like to point out that you can make larger maps by clicking on "custom" under the "fight!" icon. Maps can actually get ridiculously large if you want them to.

It has become a lot more difficult to win gold with the default decks. I'd say this is primarily because of three factors:

1) There are waaay more people playing the game now, and competition is getting increasingly fierce (which I think is awesome... I love good competition... even if I do start losing a lot lolz).

2) The players that have been around for awhile have cards to build decks better than the defaults (either by buying gold or winning it when the game was 'younger').

3) The default decks have been watered down over time. People have argued with me about this on the forums, but I stand by my statement. I think the default Sylvan deck especially 'was' way overpowered.

Oh and also Aloft is a way overpowered abillity...if you are not going to nerf that ability you need to add more ways to get rid of them...ala hurricane or something....and none of them should be first turn casts IMO....

And it would really help new players if you added more info about the details about the draft and sealed games in the client itself...ie minimum cards for a deck, what a sealed/draft game is etc.

Oh and I forgot to add, I like the music also.

Round 1: Sylvan casts Grove, Elemental casts Magma Chamber, Sylvan casts Thistle Falcon, Sylvan casts Tenderfoot Archer.
Round 2: Sylvan casts Thistle falcon, Sylvan casts Valedune Arborist, Elemental casts Hail Storm.

Hilarity ensues.

I don't agree on the most point you dislike.
1) I like random map generation. Makes it more interesting, would be boring if all maps were the same.
2) I like Autodraw - makes you not worry about being manascrewed(I hate it from mtg), also provides interesting deck building options, like only including one Vapor Mahal in deck as elemental domain so you always draw it.
3) Getting behind on flux - draw nether plasma sacrifice it 3 times to altar of nix, you are not behind on flux anymore :) Or if you are playing mf - cast earthquake, you just came back.
4) Map size is fine.
5) If you put more card draw in game - I playing with DL will draw my whole deck in 1 turn.
6) Client is a bit clunky, yes.
7) Graphics are great, what are you talking about?

P.S. Aloft creatures are not OP.

Can you guys be specific where you think the client is clunky so we can fix?

There is info on the drafts and whatnot it is that blue (i) next to them. But I guess we need to make it more clear.

We will make some pre-generated maps for people who hate the terrain generation at some point but I think once you get used to the random terrain generation it just makes the game more interesting.

I'd say the client is clunky in part because it requires some specific mousing to get what you want done and can be prone to misclicking. I've moved when I mean to attack because my first click apparently didn't take and "my attack from" ended up being a "stroll to".

I've also found that sometimes I need to mouse off of, then mouse back onto in order to get the cursor change to what I'd like.

Some of this might be avoidable if you added an "entity" control box, where you could choose from all possible actions. So when my sleet mogi has focus, I can click on the attack icon in the control box first, and then click wherever with impunity without fear of accidentally walking somewhere or triggering his special ability.

It should go without saying that you've got to leave the current controls in place too. I've learned to work around the mistakes I know I'm prone to, and think it works okay.

It'd also be nice if there were some confirmation option / a cancel last command option. You've already got icons of crossed red swords for attacking and that little cyan flag for movement. Just give us the option for using a 5 second delay and pop up a cancel last action button.

When I said "yes" to the client part - I meant the thing when your client hangs up for 3-4 seconds, and you cannot do anything. Or am I the only one who gets that?
