Does your rating degrade over time if you don't play? I see a lot of names on the Top 20 that I've never seen in the game, and I'm curious. I remember I used to play MarvelTCG online, and ratings that didn't degrade really killed competition in that game. Once guys got a high rating, they'd just create new accounts and not play their old ones because they didnt want to lose their spots. It led to a result of the top 5 never changing in the entire time I was a member until the game died; not because those guys were the best, but because they'd stopped playing.

Yes, ratings decay but who knows how often that front page is updated. . . I've also said before that it ought to be rating minus some specific multiplier of uncertainty, as that has more meaning.

Front page top 20 never "updated" - it just directly reads from DB. And numbers there is rating minus uncertain.
