Hi, I was challenged by Chester today and after winning the game he talked to me in not so friendly way. We had no conversation in game, so I don't know why he was so angry about me. Losing the game does not explain these words for me. With picture. Attachment: Chester.JPG [ 136.17 KiB | Viewed 12983 times ] |

I've stopped playing with him for more or less the same reasons... Only reason I still do is when I'm unfortunately paired with him during EC's (good part is it's like getting a bye, bad part is I have to deal with him). |

i suppose i have been viewed as "easy pickin's" since i don't win a lot. But i am so disappointed in the fact that I had been working on a deck with phantom cards i kept getting and decided to actually buy gold and buy the cards i wanted. So after a mildly expensive shopping spree i get my usually losing deck into good enough shape. first time out to bat with my new deck i lost. ok no big deal it happens. cuttingedge mauled me with some cards i had never seen before. we gg'd and he left and then i get a pop-up challenge from chester. next thing i know my deck was actually working and i was feeling great about how i had spent money i shouldnt have but it appeared to be "paying" off. so then as i'm really close to winning i start getting messages in french. funny thing is i knew what he was saying because i happen to know a couple of "choice french phrases." Anyway at the end of my match (which there was no way in heck i was gonna resign at this point because now i was mad about being asked to play and then sworn at in foreign languages) i got a nice reiteration of what those phrases were in english just in case i didnt know french. even though i won i felt awful and wondered why on earth am i spending my money to play a game only to be sworn at. and we arent just talking about calling someone a name because they are turtle-ing around the board we are talking full on verbal assault. im not into that. what is worse is he was even in the same guild as i was. i have currently left schooloffish because i dont want at all to be associated with foul mouthed brats that cant take a loss. i am considering leaving the game because i dont need this kind of garbage. |

Evylution: I understand your frustration, but running from this dude is not a solution I endorse. That is the exact behavior that emboldens a bully to continue his meaner ways. And, sadly, our planet is full of people that behave this way. Retreating will not work!! I believe evolution itself is the answer here. It has been defined as "a gradual development, especially to a more complex form." Bullies abound because they are allowed to thrive. As a gaming community, we can influence to what degree they are accepted in our midst. If we consistently give 'em the old heave-ho, they will become more or less extinct. That is good in my book. Action, consequence. So let us combine forces, give this dude a clear signal that frequent outbursts of this nature cross the proverbial line in the sand, and let him make the next move. Behavior improves = great! Behavior continues = hasta la vista chump. That is all. Cordially, DarkJello |

Agreed. The next time he tries to be a sore loser, I shall start filling his message box with a message that supports the other player ^^ . |

Perhaps the ignore option could be set to block the in-game chat as well? |
