Ive played seven battledrafts lately, and each time the first player who entered the tournament got to go last. I dont know if this is just a coincidence, but if it isnt I think it should be fixed to random. I almost allways enter first, so I almost allways have to go last:(
AND it is a huge advantage to start. For example when there is just one ord stone. There exist some other broken cards too. If both players or the players who goes last gets to discard one card before the game starts I think this "the one who start wins 80% of the time problem" can be improved.

i dont really play much battledraft but i can definetly see how this would be a problem.....the same problem exists in 2v2.......ppl get to go first based on when they joined que......this to me isnt a very good method AT ALL.....it needs to work like 1v1 and the player that passes all first gets to go first......and then someone of the opposite team and then back to the other team..........i think that would be a much better approach.....

Ok I'm fixing it so a random person goes first and whoever doesn't go first can cycle a card the first round.

So before this the second person to join went first? For a while I thought the first person to join was going first. But then I'm almost certain something happened that disproved it.
If you are fixing things.... there are a few cards that are overpowered. Notably cards that you discard for. Drunken Mortar team for example. Probably Scorched Horizons as well.
I love Battle Draft!

Neither of those cards should be in there. Let me know if you see them.

I love BD too!
Not that it's a big deal but I don't see why drunken mortar shouldn't be a possible draw. Granted it's strong, but you both have an equal chance to get it, and blocking the other player from using a card is one of the main strategic elements in BD.
