Remember this thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1044 ? Well, I followed up on it - check to see how much I've invested in the game. I want to continue to invest, so long as the game continues to grow. To that end, I've thought of a few things I hope to see, and presume others would like to see. 1. Gold for reporting new bugs. 1 gold per bug, and post on here known bugs. If it's a game breaking bug that can be exploited, don't post it, and don't give out the 1g for the follow-on reporters. That leads to number 2. 2. Post known bugs. Many other major online games do, and it helps us, the consumer, know that you're tracking, and you have it on your to-do list. 3. Mods can and perhaps should private message the players. One fantastic aspect of this game is that there is most usually a mod online, if not jed. What a perfect opportunity to directly interact and elicit feedback directly from the consumer. It's good to proclaim "I can answer any question", but good isn't acceptable when better is possible. 4. Standardize communication. I've received new information from the forums, website, and in-game chat about the goings-on in tfw. That's great, but for the layman who wants to remain in-the-know, it means they have to monitor the forums, website, and in-game chat. 5. Not a change, but still a suggestion. I've played plenty of games where game-altering (and potentially breaking) awards were given to users for achievements and money spent. Please no game altering cards or economy-breaking awards, ever. I don't want to buy my way to victory. 6. GUI - fix the zoom on full screen. I'm constantly switching from full to window mode depending on if I'm playing a game or using the market/building an army. 7. Market changes are discussed in other threads. My only huge gripe is the fact that the market *always* resorts by time whenever I make a change. So annoying, especially when you're buying/selling many cards. 8. GM events - do them. 9. Graphic/Music updates. Do them. Invest the money or time to complete them. Your customers can and some are, getting sick of hearing the same few songs and seeing the same iterations of "random" maps. I know the map generator algorithm is a beast to modify, but how about some snow? or cards to change plains to swamps? or more desert? or just for fun, random flux well spaces (not for competition), or maps with dead zones (a la "the nothing")? I truly care about this game, that's why I've taken the time to type this out. I would love to see any responses. |

jed wrote: Thanks for the suggestions Of course, and more thanks to you for responding. Makes it seem that the customers are meaningful. Quote: When do you mean? randomly? Perhaps randomly, but not as a rule. I'd prefer a login message Like, welcome tfw! your mods are... .... ..... They are free to answer your messages any time. We appreciate any feedback, so feel free! (of course you can make that more pretty). Also a feedback link, similar to options-bug report. The pmming could be saved for established players (especially paying ones, or ones who play often but don't pay). Also you can elicit feedback from players whom you've communcicated with in the past, on any level. Or just a plain mod shout box on the corner of the screen. Quote: Yeah we wont do this Thank god. I quit 2 games (which I paid for), for this. ex1. Game gives 1 of a kind sword to player making him unkillable 1 on 1. ex2. Implemented a gambling system (with no limits), completely annihilating the in game economy. Quote: What do you mean? see attached image. the spraypaint = wasted space Attachment:

I login and it says I can download a client with better graphics. I did that, and it still says that. Perhaps confusing for some, but admittedly unneccessary. Check client type on login 2. Hell, you can check account activity on login and spam that. Such as ladder position, market activity, ect. queue messages from other players |

Scrolling the middle mouse button also zooms the map in and out so you can fill up the screen. |

Yes, but then the corners of the map.... Ie, whre my home base is, get cut off by the large graphics in the corners. That's not cool for you, is it? Anyway, it was fixed with jed's suggestion. |

As a new player in the tournments for power it seems all the huge players show up for just that. How about making some for power for people say under 1000, or maybe starter decks only. |

The ladder is designed to favor lower ranked players; I think most people starting out would rather have the gold than power. |
