It seems to me that just because a character moves, it shouldn't lose the ability to use a ranged attack. I first noticed this with blunderbus, but mostly forgot till I started playing chaos and using the blade hurlers. My main question I suppose is: If my blade hurler is 2 spaces away from a thistle falcon, why can I not move one space then use my ranged attack on it? I just don't see why moving a space or two removes my ability to attack aloft creatures.
Thanks,
AD

I think it's because ranged needs preparations (take the bow or whatever) + creature needs to aim.. But in game it's just a mechanic which you have to get used to.. (It'd weaken aloft stuff a lot)

Ranged is already plenty powerful. Keeping it with move/attack or ranged attack and not move/ranged is good for game balance. Granted, the Lancers and Hurlers and Javelineers don't get much benefit from their ranged since it's only range 1, but there are still some uses to the range.
