A lot of changes happened in my 2 month sabbatical, some good and some not so. It would be great to have a new interface for touch phones since Blackberry, Apple and other companies are making smart phones with touchscreens as a standard. It could be offered as a free download or a preloaded game so people don't have to stumble upon it, or search specifically for it/games like it. Player base would increase and by word of mouth the game would spread. This interface could have a nifty feature that could take advantage of bluetooth enabled phones, where it could detect people who has the app if they chose to announce that they are running it, or by using a similar gps mapper that tells you where the closes player is if they chose to enable the feature. People running the app and sensing others with it would have a choice to "challenge" them via bluetooth or online [ although the latter might turn out too expensive for phone internet] , where they could play for free or for wagers [ingame gold or cards] . In game cards and power could be traded via bluetooth as well, and buying gold could be as easy as clicking a button which would be billed directly to the phone bill. Now to protect parents from unwanted billing, they could be asked to confirm sale via email or by directly billing paypall. Aside from the phone app, a new flash or download version for the browser or computer with a built in music streamer/player would be nice, where I can chose to direct the music player [which could be a seperate flash app, but shown in the same box] to a url to listen to free music, like newgrounds or similar sites where you could also download the song if you chose to. I hope to hear your thoughts and feedback ~ emancipate |

Ive been thinking of many of the same ideas. My phone idea was just EC alert text messages because I couldnt think of a good way to encorporate the game and the phone that wouldnt take a ton of work. If there was an app maybe 3 people would have it so.. idk. Also, Im a huge music lover so I think if you could find a way so I can force people to listen to music im in. |

Have you guys tried to open browser version, toggle to full screen and play it? Edit: just tried to resize browser to iphone resolution (480x320)... definetly not enough for current version. |

I dont think any mobile phones support flash, generally because adobe is a horrible company and only cares about adding features and not fixing bugs or making their programs use less memory. |

Altren, I tried loading the web client on my Blackberry Storm about the time I posted the suggestion for a mobile based version of the game. The page simply set there, trying to load, but never made any progress other than "loading..." |

So basically flash works there, right? I was reading about iPhone and found that flash is not supported there (except some user made apps that partially support it). And looks like your defice doesn't fully support flash too. Where it was stopping - at start of loading or end? |

I should clarify... NOT the "loading..." that you see when you run the web client on a computer browser... as in, NOT the flash loading, but the "loading..." you see when you navigate the phone browser to a website. At the bottom of the screen it has a status bar that it's loading/downloading, and the web page itself is still white. In other words, it NEVER opens the flash, but is trying to. So flash isn't supported. A lot of phones do, however, support java. |

I think one from scratch is better, one that has all game images built in to lower server/phone downloads. Flash isn't supported in most phones and yes you could force flash to play on iphones but most would not because they could brick their phone. And ubers suggestion of text alerts would peak phone companies interest since it would generate income for them. As for music I guess we could just put hotlinks in our profiles from radio streams or make your own streams with vlc or something then just point url to that, but something more streamlined and sexy would be nice. ~cheers |
