Since gold is sell able for real cash maybe you should allow it to accumulate interest. With less gold in circulation maybe more would be purchased. Although the market is already having problems funding the EC. You could just take a percentage of the interest for the EC. You could also make banking a guild activity. So, you could keep track of the richest or the best guild wars guilds. |

That might work if this game sold ads... but that's not the case. The existence of this game ultimately depends on people buying gold from TFW (not other players) with REAL money. If interest accrued a player's gold supply, it would increase the gold in circulation at no benefit to the game's employees. Currently, the only means to obtain cards, gold, or power for free (all can be considered to have a real monetary value, since they can be converted to gold and sold to other players) is through the ladder and expert clashes. |

Possibly over a probably very extended period of time. For instance if interest was given once a month at %1 and 10,000 gold was banked. Interest would be given 11 times the first year. The final amount would be 11156 gold. Thats only 11% that year. It would take several years for the actual amount of gold in circulation to increase. Im fairly certain that would be offset by an increase in gold being purchased. If more gold is purchased that 11% becomes less signifigant. Q. What about people that have a lot of gold and dont log in anymore it seems? A. Make interest only for people with a certain uncertainty rating and who play a certain amount of games. For expample 2-3 pvp games a month. Also, see below. Q. What if too many people are banking? A. Make it an adjusted interest rate. For instance, as more people bank, the rate could slowly drop to .5%. Q. What if Id rather enter keep cards or domain, or buy packs? A. Thats fine, but banking would be a guild activity so if you were in a bankers guild you probably wouldnt want to. |

Ugh no offense meant but The Far Wilds is a lousy name for a bank. Also i dont see any credit card support, when i make my withdrawal do i have to physically lug that gold around? Also why gold and not crude oil, it goes much better on the commodities market.... okay ill stop now with bad joke attempt (Uber, not sure how you even think this could work from a developers business point of view.) |

I dont see why it wouldnt when it displaces a lot of gold for quite a while. Its really not going to be much more than they already give anyways.. they give 1500 gold a week from the ladder. Thats 78000 gold a year and you dont think the banking system would work. Umm.. I do. |

It's not that we don't think it "could work" Uber, I think we're just having trouble understanding why this feature would be useful... to players OR developers. Given the looonnnnngggg enhancement queue for The Far Wilds, where do you think a feature like this would fall? How would it help TFW to flourish? |

Theres no single idea that will make tfw flourish. That is a misconception. Anyways, I guess if no one likes it the discussion is over. edit: I like the way you said long enhancement que. Lol. Thats a good way to put it. I suppose the one idea that could make tfw flourish is to shorten the enhancement que. How? Well, theres a whole new list of ideas. There are several really good ideas in here. Some shitty, some not, and some like this one that are really complicated which also makes them kinda shitty. But still implementing them faster would help if you could find and make the changes that everyone dosnt complain about. |
