Post subject: | The Market |
Reason for this post: We want a more active game with more players Logic: If it was easier to buy and sell cards, players would be doing so more often. If prices were easier to judge and accurate, more trading would happen. More trades, more buying/selling = more playing Benefit to Jed: More money in "taxes". More players. Current Problem: The prices of the market are not accurate. It is easy for someone to manipulate a price by going on an alternate account, putting an absurd offer on the market and then removing the gold and/or card from that alt account. There are bids not backed by gold and offers not backed by cards. Solution: Have market check offers before it shows the ask/sell price. If the gold and/or card is not there, remove the bid/offer. Current Problem: Prices are no where close to accurate because of the above logic, as well as the fact that there is no market history. Sure, those of us that have been around have some idea of what prices "really" are, but it's difficult. In addition, newer players have no clue about prices and could easily get ripped off by manipulators. Solution: Show the history of last transactions!!!! Just add a table in the db that keeps track of the dates and prices sold on the market. It would make it harder to manipulate and also show trends, allowing traders to get a really good idea of what the real market price is. |

Please add your thoughts. I'll compile and send a formal proposal to Jed. |
