Just a couple ideas for things I thought would be cool to be able to do. Sponsored Tournaments: Right now, anyone can create a tournament, and either require an entry fee (so there is a prize) or no fee (no prize). How about an option to allow users to create tournaments and furnish prizes. Gold, power, cards. So that way players with too much money (and/or sense ) can set up tournaments beyond the standard ones. And somewhat related... Named Games and/or Tournaments: When setting up custom games, it would be nice if we could name them. Could get some community going when you see "Kurt's Daily Draft" or the like instead of "Draft". Thoughts? |

great idea ! I would love to be able to make a tournament with nothing but default decks, or a small arena size for a gladiator pit type scenario. |

That's actually something I thought of after, being able to specify deck requirements, default decks, MF-only, that sort of thing. Those would probably be harder than the basic sponsored tournament idea |

I did tournaments with cards as prizes for beginners, but sometimes it really hard to collect a lot of them. I think we can make system where tournament creator, who sponsored tournament (50% play(er/ers) and 50% server or little fee like 3-5 gold) will receive something (tournament point(?)). |

Named Games would be really cool. Another online card game I played had a tournament where each team could only use decks of a corresponding faction, and depending on which faction won each week different things would happen. Like, there would be MF, DL, Elemental, and Sylvan teams. Everyone participating in the tourney would pick a faction and would play with decks of only that faction (and neutral I guess). Then if Elemental players had more wins in a week, next week something would change, like maps for the tourney would have more dessert (or less dessert because the elementals now pushed to the other factions home ground and it is harder for them). |

I like this idea, it fits with TFW's story and would make things more interesting. |

I'm a fan of tournament environments that put interesting restrictions on deck building. You get to see some awesome, surprisingly effective wacky ideas that work. One idea I'd like to see along these lines (stolen from a game I used to play): faction wars. A perhaps monthly tournament where everyone is restricted to play a single faction. You get interesting things like everyone packing treents to counter other players using a graft strategy with sylvan. Or two players running arid encroachment decks and turning the map into a desert. You could give the winner a title or special avatar to indicate that he or she is the leader of the faction (until the next tournament). |
