We finished new interface and update client version, but need some help with testing. You can try new version in browser through this link: http://www.thefarwilds.com/beta/thinflexclient.html To try it in downloadable version: 1) Create copy of game folder 2) Download BetaLauncher 3) Unpack it into new copy of game into helpers folder. (so TheFarWildsLauncherBeta.exe and original TheFarWildsLauncher.exe should be in same folder) 4) Run TheFarWildsLauncherBeta.exe If should update about 45 files. If you see that it updating about 3000 files, then you run it from wrong directory. Please report about any bugs and typos in text/tooltips. There are also major change in downloadable version, that require testing on different platforms (Windows XP/Vista/7), so tell if you used new downloadable version and which system you have. |

When I run the launcher (or the executable directly), it checks for updates, then says "Please wait" then crashes (I get bugsplat). |

Ok, I figured what's the problem, it is not downloading newer DirectX when users don't have it. I'll fix this soon. Do not update DirectX yourself, if possible - I want to test that launcher update it properly. Wait for update. |

Ok, fixed. Atahualpa, try to run it once more please. [Edit] Well, actually twice, because Launcher updated and beta launcher is unable to restart itself. |
