I'm thinking about making these changes to the way buildings build:
maybe constructions sites should take one more round to complete?
maybe you can't build buildings where the enemy controls?

What do you think?

I think this is a good idea, Jed. (especially where the enemy controls...) :D

Not being able to build where the enemy controls may be a problem.
Imagine yourself facing an enemy playing Loyalwilds/Wilderwoods on a forest heavy map! That might mean that you weren't able to build on hexes right next to your own buildings! That doesn't seem fair in my oppinion!

I gotta agree with Wicked. Against a loyal wilds deck it could pretty much eliminate any decent placement of buildings.
It would also reduce the usefulness of Steam Charge.

I think the 4 rounds it takes now for buildings is a pretty decent time.

I don't see a need for change right now.

The way it is now, it's basically get a guy to the center, then place a building. Or get a guy behind enemy lines, place a building.

It's just too much right now about the buildings, rather than the fact that the creatures are fighting(because, lets face it, the creatures eventually only start fighting about the buildings)

Now this is just an extremely rough (meaning not thought out but ponderous) idea, why not make it so buildings can only be built 1 hex outside(or anywhere inside) of a previous buildings LoS, instead of where any creature has a LoS

This would create an environment that looks more like cities being created from a starting point(like real life), rather than a random placement of buildings(i mean how realistic is it that you have a building and all of a sudden an opponent has gone behind enemy lines and plops a building besides yours)

This would open the game up cause:
a)you would have to creep your buildings to the next node point
---making the LoS for each building more strategic
---those buildings that attack can be placed way more strategically as you create your base
b)your creatures would only be about scouting, fighting, and defending now.
---since they all would have to come from your cities(rather than randomely over the board) obvious battlefronts would be created
---allowing you to form defensive/offensive groupings(ie a front line of blockers, backed up by your ranged guys, etc.)
c)It would make the game more tightly strategic

This would change the gameplay drastically, so i don't know, what do you guys think?
