The title says it all, I guess . . . I try to connect to the online version and it cannot do so.

I have tried Safari and Firefox, clearing cache, and used the URL listed in a previous message thread in which a player was receiving similar error messages.

Any other suggestions? I'd like to try the game out.

what happens when you try? You get the login screen?

Yes . . . I type in my login name and password (same as I use to login here at the forums) and it simply says:

"cannot connect"

every time I press the login button. It's immediate.

Possibly. Can you disable your firewall for a min while you try to login?

I have a Mac and am able to connect using the web version. Hopefully that means it's a flash issue and not a computer issue.
