1. Possession was played on kaikas.
2. Spying sparks was played on kaikas.
3. Crypt Doctor was used to sacrifice kaikas.
4. Instead of spying going to the new controller of kaikas. Spying sparks went to the original owner of the creature.

Recall did not work on Volcanic Phoenix.

recall on phoenix works for me?
The sparks thing is an ordering issue:
Kaikas dies this causes all his enchantments to die
Possession dies causing control to return to original owner
sparks dies causing it to find another figure controlled by the original owner
