I've run into this problem a lot in the past trying to start up the client version of the game, and somethings I get a bug report of a crash... now I think there's a new update and now everytime I try to start up the game it crashes.

FWIW, the latest update seems to have broken the client on my computer too. I uninstalled, redownloaded the installer, reinstalled, but it still crashes after trying to verify files.

Can you try redownloading the client from our site and post if that fixes it?

Verifying VC redist VCRedist up to date Verifying DirectX Downloading DirectX update... Updating DirectX... DirectX updated... Verfiying files... Updating files... which means its updating directx when you launch do you see version v.291h?
