My biggest concern with "one or two" cards with counterspell is that it becomes an essential one or two cards to have. And heaven help you if you didn't get it in league.
Honestly, if there's a card like Ascent, which is a counter-creature spell at any time well after the creature has been cast, I can't see how the counterspell would skew the mechanics that much.

Aye, but if you were lucky to get it in League, then most likely you'd have gotten one or two at most. It can be rare or even super rare you know.
Pretty much it's we can try it out or not. It's all up to the devs anyway. I do appreciate you guys input on it, too, don't get me wrong if I sounded harsh at any time!

well you must remember there are other ways to play then league, what may be fine in league could be a nightmare in constructed, and no offense has been taken to me, its natural to get defensive in these debates a lot of our asperations for the game may very well evolve out of these conversations and we all want the game to become ever greater and more and more fun.
