false hope:
undo the effects of the last played spell. only effects spells, not enchantments or creatures or buildings.
example: P1 has a creature that's at 0, they cast poulace and heal target creature, P2 casts false hope the creature goes back to 0. same with volcano, and etc.
cost: I think X and 2 domain where X is the amount of flux the last spell cost.

As I understand the mechanics of this, you can use this on your own spell? So, I cast naturescape on a previous oceanspace in one action, move a creature across what is now land in another action, and then cast this card to return it to ocean (assuming no one else has played a spell in this time)? This could also feasibly be spread out over different rounds as well, right? Or did you meant to add "cast this round"?

This is a counterspell. ;_;
I am currently lobbying for no more than 15% spells in the new set so that there is not as much need for a counterspell mechanic... because I really don't want to see that dynamic in this game.

what about specific counterspells? like "return last spell that did you damage this turn to it's owners hand" it might be more balanced if it could only reverse specific effects.

For the record, I do not consider cards that return things to your hand to be "counterspells". It's more of an "unsummon" mechanic... i.e. Ascent.
