minds: what do you mean? It does work to move your entangled guy into the desert. then he is able to move again.

He is able to move...in the desert. But the enchantment is still on him, so once he moves back onto plains, he's entangled again. I'm saying that once he's moved to the desert, the enchantment should disappear and he should be able to roam free.

or perhaps it is a spell on the character himself that is a big Kick Me sign, not actually causing the roots in the given area to tangle him up? If it were the latter, then the enchantment should still enchant the space if the creature is moved out of it.
