I think this card needs an adjustment.
Make it have lifespan or having to need soul tokens like Lord of Chaos. Both Flavorful and balancing. :)

I think no. To use it need 2 cards (one creature) to make it + you need to reach flux point. For example it not better than loyal wilds or watch tower + beacon of celador.

the main reasons why this is so powerful are: 1) it's instant (take that hill giants) 2) there are very few ways to counteract it (which is hopefully going to be addressed in new sets) and 3) you can do it anywhere. Walk your creature right up to your opponent's home base and then lock them out of that flux for the rest of the game. Or just take any other uncontested well.

Grug's counterclaim doesn't really hold much water. DL has a number of ways to get around finding a creature to sacrifice. And it is clearly much better than loyal wilds (which is reliant on the map) or watch tower + beacon (which can easily be destroyed).

My suggestion would be to restrict it to friendly/neutral territory like desolation totem, reduce the claimed radius to just the corpse hex, or make it enchant the corpse so getting rid of the corpse removes the enchantment.

You could also pull a bronze statue on it so that it only provides control of otherwise uncontrolled spaces.

All the other domains would gladly pay that price, the cost of 4 flux and having to sacrifice a creature is so trivial compared to the reward you get, control of space that's instantaneous, one where you don't have to defend or worry about, where for the most part the best the opponent can do is contest it in a timely manner. Now in context to what DL can do to circumvent it's only "downside" the card is absolutely insane.

If you think about it there's always usually a creature commitment when it comes to claiming a flux point, either for vision to set up the construction site and/or protection. So the card being 2 for 1 has less bearing in context to how the game actually plays out. If you go for a middle flux and your opponent has to go for a "Safer" side flux you can set up shop as fast as him setting up a construction site.

Of the two combo's you mentioned grug, one is heavily board dependant and needs 3 domain the other is 6/40 of your deck and is fairly situational as to when is the best time to "reach" for the middle flux, its also quite vulnerable. Claimed works with a decks most common and expendable component, and is not as dead when you draw in plenty of situations compared to buildings.

Give it to elemental they need all the help they can get anyways.
Call it Territorial Anomoly or something like that, will fit in nicely with their paradoxes.

Every card/mechanic should have counters. The problem I see with this card is that it has very few counters. I play it in every DL deck simply because it is that good and hard for my opponent to deal with.

Yes the stag is one but he is very easy to elliminate. There aren't many permanent solutions.

I would suggest simply converting the unit sacrificed to some tangeable item (building, statue, etc) that has hit points and can be destroyed. Once destroyed the effect goes away.

While I like the idea of limiting this card like desolation totem... or perhaps giving it a per round flux upkeep cost like Bronze Statue, I am hopeful that more solutions to enchantments will come in the next set.
