As a suggestion, I think it might be worthwhile to examine making Glimpse of Greatness not require domain to cast. So, instead of being X3, it'd just be 3.

It's powerful, but it can be disenchanted, so there's a counter. Additionally, it would give it greater utility as a means to come back against an opponent who has overwhelmed a base, etc, and would allow you to cast creatures when you have only building bases that provide no domain in play.

This doesn't happen too often, but I agree with Red on this one. Since 3 domain is the max, I don't think it makes sense for this card to require one domain to cast.

But many of the more powerful cards have domain requirements like SSS as opposed to SXX. So the ability to get 3 domain in a specific domain is more than just getting "the max 3 domain." With the strong recent push to multidomain decks, you can use this card and one mountain folk domain to suddenly drop an Elder Ent.

Given the shift to X domain, I don't think this card needs to be changed.

It also costs 3 to cast, and has a lifespan of 1. So really, it should be changed.

well this means you can lay a bronze statue on the second round. I'm sure it opens up a lot of other crazy openings as well.

The simple fix for the Bronze Statue problem is to make it XXXX instead of just X. Or to require that it be built in controlled space, which is probably a good idea anyway considering what a bitch it is to find and kill if it isn't.

E: I just thought of this, so I'll add it:

Playing Bronze Statue on the second round is probably a bad idea anyway. Why? Because Bronze Statue doesn't have sight. You may control all the squares, but you can't build in them or deploy creatures. This keeps you from mounting a defense and gaining domain levels without the aid of another Glimpse.

So, while you might gain loads of flux from controlling 4 flux points for awhile, your opponent will deploy a Hellcat or Craig Scout or Sleet Mogi or Elven Scout or Thistle Falcon, and will find and destroy your statue in 3-4 turns, all the while building up infrastructure and expanding towards the middle flux point.

The one way out of this trap you'd have gotten yourself into is with a Trunk Hermit, but that fix is easy enough: make it so that he requires a Sylvan domain rather than no domain as he is now.

Really, it's a worthwhile change, and I think it's worth exploring.

RedFlag you ask for card change that also need other changes that you also noticed, but there's a lot more cards that need it with changed Glimpse of Greatness. How about two Griblarnocks at first round?

::Weeps:: this is all what my earlier post was about, reduced to absurdity. It used to be that if someone complained about a card, there was enough discussion on it, it got nerfed, and then other cards had to be fixed at a later date. At the very least, it was a slow decay of this entire game.
Now, to fix one card you've advocated nerfing two others in the same go. To accommodate a totally unnecessary change. It hurts, Red. It really hurts.

I still stand by my sentiment; the way to fix cards that cause people grief is to create more cards. Eventually, everything has a response, everything can be handled by a skilled player. I'd rather see the change you advocate effected by another card - a Glipse of Mediocrity - that cost 2 flux and no domain, and gave you one domain in something of your choosing until end of turn. If the original goal was to give you a way out when all of your buildings are surrounded and you have 0 domain but are still accumulating flux, this solves the problem just as well without creating 2nd-round-Bronze-Statute crises.

So long as people continue to think that changing cards is the right approach, nothing will ever be balanced.
