Hey everyone time for another round of balancing. The main focus will be on improving weak cards. So post your suggestions...

Tilting Grounds... needs to give vision, at least (1). It only awards one attack token max once a turn and puts your guy to sleep? Inferior to Elderly Swordmaster in every way...

The only way I see to use it is with Veridic Benevolent, but Psions have much easier ways of getting that extra attack that doesn't put them to sleep (and they don't really need it, actually).

Snooping Goblin : hard to play when the only thing that he can do with his ability is to steal one card and then probably die. Most 1st level creatures with 2 flux cost have 2 hit points. Goblin should have 2 hit points.

Tilting Grounds : Agree that it's not really good, but giving it 1 vision with 2 flux cost makes it way too good building drop. But it's still useful. Without Sleep token it's almost like all you creatures have +1 Attack. So I don't really think that this building is bad. No changes.

Looked carefully through all Borderlands cards and Goblin is all that I found.

And here's two cards from Seed set that is pretty similar
Power Alteration :
Variant 1: Enchant Figure that gives domain.(so can be used on enemy figures) Figure instead gives domain of your choice. And also should have Lifespan or/and increased domain cost.
Variant 2: 0XX. Target figure you control gives 1 flux at start of round and doesn't give domain.
Variant 3: 3XX. Target figure gives 1 flux at start of round and doesn't give domain.
Variant 4: 0X. Choose domain when played. Ability: enchanted figure gives you a level in the other domain (like pantheon, but without Dim).
Tunnel Complex : add: Creatures with non-0 cost played adjacent to Tunnel Complex gives you 1 flux back. And probably change cost to 1MX.

I like the idea of underused cards getting a reboot. I'm going to start by making a list of cards I ever see used. Everyone feel free to tweak them as we go and add to the list.

Unaligned

Bell of Dorn
Power Alteration

Sylvan

Decomposition
Treetop Domain
Woodland Link
Twinling

Celestial Imperium

Encircling the Sea

Mountain Folk

Barrier Peaks

Dark Legion

Beckon the Bones
Longshadow Clocktower
Psychic Parasite

Hordes of Chaos

Cyclododo
Snooping Goblin

Elemental

Ice Sheet

Yes, I do realize some of the them have some uses, but most of them you never see played.

P.S. I don't believe that Power Alteration should be able to target other players domain sources. It would end up being a mainstay in every deck and become a race of who domain screws the other player first....Just my opinion. Not to mention if you get two or three of them in you hand and make it pretty much Game Over.

I don't get it, you agree it's not good yet you say no changes? No changes to the card that is completely overpowered by yet another "not good" card (Elderly Swordmaster). To the card you called useful "without Sleep tokens?"

I strongly disagree that snooping goblin needs a buff. as evidence, I have been looking to acquire one and nobody is willing to even enter negotiations. I also strongly disagree on clocktower -- vampire decks are OP as it is. on the other hand, here is my list of cards that need love:

cards that should cost one less flux to cast:
* barrier peaks
* baltasar's lash
* beckon the bones
* call to battle
* drunken mortar team
* encircling sea (see additional notes below)
* fire ball
* ronk's factory (see additional notes below)
* scry pool
* stench cow
* woodland link

avenging angel
* spawn undimmed

call of korkorth
* let caster cancel early (like icy encasement)

decomposition
* option 1: all corpses within distance 1 of target hex are removed
* option 2: 3 flux, 2S; world enchant; corpses have lifespan(3)

defender of elkins
* enchant creature, creature becomes a knight

encircling sea
* no dimming

furnace of gibil
* discard one card; dim

home guard
* remove restriction on leaving area (but still destroy if too far away)

leap of faith
* target figures, not just creatures

prophetic lunacy
* isolation(3)

ronk's factory
* 2 flux for gargoyle

steam charge
* 4 damage

tilting grounds
* 1 flux to use, doesn't give sleep token

treetop dominion
* autodraw

twinling
* doesn't die unless both are killed in round

zeppelin raider
* leak tokens only when raider is used; possibly cap at four tokens

Forest Fire... would be much more useful if it could also be used on plains to turn them into deserts... this would also require a name change to Wildfire, of course.

Alternative/Addition to this would be to let it move up to 2 spaces away (the same article linked to in the previous paragraph states; A wildfire differs from other fires by its extensive size, the speed at which it can spread out from its original source, its potential to change direction unexpectedly, and its ability to jump gaps such as roads, rivers and fire breaks).

Come to think of it... that would make it an extremely powerful card... perhaps removing the damage would work and it fits in with CI's many (yet completely indistinct) terrain dependencies and manipulation.

I am assuming your suggestion is in addition to the card's current effect. If this is the case, I disagree with this. CI has massive ground coverage and I've used Defender of Elkins to take advantage of that, it's pretty good as it is, only reason I don't use it 100% of the time is it's conflict with anti-magic shell and my fear of DL spells/enchantments. I have even used it to great effect on opponent's knights (how dare you try to Ix my Paladin after controlling him). Additionally... if this change is implemented... my Exalted Ones will have a field day...

The card only seems weak because of the limited number of knights in the game (four plus Knight of Celador). I'm pretty sure that can be easily remedied in a future expansion or even a minor tweak. Do I hear a petition to turn Brigade of the Righteous or Elderly Swordmaster into a Knight?

P.S. Elderly Swordmaster is not my favorite card, it just irks me that it's the only CI common that I don't already have three of. I will accept a donation, though.

many of the cards listed by other people are potential combo enablers so although they are relatively weak its dangerous to make them too strong: Prophetic Lunacy, treetop dominion, ronk's factory, scry pool, woodland link, Bell of Dorn, Power Alteration, Beckon the Bones, Longshadow Clocktower.

I do agree that snooping goblin, ice sheet, encircling sea, decomposition, fireball, Zeppelin Raiders, Defender of Elkins and twinling are underpowered and can be improved.

Brigade of the Righteous: currently the best card for making extra bodies is NP, together these cards give you a 3/4 creature for 7 flux and 3 domain and two cards. This is just awful. Compare to abyssal bloodhound which gives a 7/7 for the same flux and one less card.

Prodigal Entropene: This card has horrible stats for is flux cost and although it is a slight combo with cinder mogi its still not good enough to be played in any deck.

Flamekin / Blaze of Abrixia/ Planar Intersection, Fire: Flamekin generally does not live long enough to do anything useful and is easily sniped by other creatures if it tries to move out. Blaze of Abrixia is effectively a slower, more expensive tortured ghost.

Alpine Spirit/ Barrier Peaks: there are not enough mountains in the average game for these cards to be useful.

Belligerent Dryad: Almost strictly worse that ord beast

Gaze of the Tyrant: Its not like anyone tries to take flux wells before they hit two domain anyway. Why bother using two cards when you could have the same effect with an astridian forum only four turns slower. Besides you can't even play a building to maintain control of the well if your creature gets lysised or possessed. At least with homestead your creature can't fight back or run away if it gets attacked.
