I've used it, I've played against it, it's way too game changing. Eliminate it. Or make it susceptible to corrupting flux. Just do something! |

It is a rough card... I played against someone who cast it, and later reconstructed it. Luckily I had the firepower to destroy it both times... but if they hadn't had a creature shortage, or been able to cast it a few turns earlier, I bet this could have won the game for them. |

Usually it comes into play at the end of game when most of flux points already captured, so it helps only with instant building but not with capturing. But if enemy spent 8 flux on it it mean that you'll have for example some units for this 8 flux and easily destroy statue. So, it's good as it is now. |

Mmm disagreed. Especially given random terrain, the statue can just hang out in some unreachable to very hard to reach area. Get him on an island, and unless you have aloft creatures (remember - you can't cast aquatic creatures if it's owned by your opponent, and chances are after the statue, they will be) it's game over. What might be a fun way to balance it is to add the following: "All opponents can see all spaces adjacent to Bronze Statue." That way, since every turn is so precious once that thing exists, you know exactly where to target. But none of its power is taken away. Makes it more of a trade-off card, rather than a kill-you card. |

I think the big killer with this card is the flux increase you pick up when it's played that really ends the game. I would say adding something along the lines of not gaining flux from any of the wells that are controlled by only the Bronze Statue would be effective in balancing it. |

Oh, better yet something that could make it *bad* for you in some circumstances... e.g., that you lose 2 flux every turn -- so, if you gain two wells with the card, then you're even, if you gain 3 wells you will get more. But, if you only gain 1 or 0 wells then you get less. (Ok, and maybe include an easy way for the owner to destroyit). I compare it to Benefits of a Clear Mind -- which gives the other person flux if you have too many cars (or nobody anything if you're tied). I also like the idea of making it be seen -- that also helps with attacking it... But, it seems like something *that* pervasive should be pretty damn obvious "from the groud" |
