I think it should be noted that it dies if it ends in water... I attacked with it and did the double-click to let the computer pick the attack vector, not thinking it mattered all that much... in fact, not realizing it could move over water at all. The computer opted to move it over a water space and stay over water for the attack, drowning it at the end of the turn rather than the perfectly legit land space next to it. I didn't take "movement is not affected by terrain" to be the same as hover... so what is the difference then? That the Tamer can move over water but not attack from it?

Those geese get tired! How would you feel if you had to carry some doosh elf whose too lazy to walk over FOUR terrain squares? Personally, I cheer for the geese every time he drounds. But then again, I do detest this card... only slightly less than I do the mana lion.

ROFL. while I love the explanation, I'm not sure it jives with the mechanics behind the game in general.. though it would explain the slow movement of the Crushing Wheel too.. even dwarves get tired pushing a giant stone wheel I suppose... though I still think it should get a "downhill movement bonus" for momentum :-P

BTW, I'd cheer for the geese in that one too personally.. it was just unexpected as this was my first time I every actually played him.

Totes agree. I don't think anything should be changed about his mechanics, just a note on the card since his ability is so weird.

You mean a note on the "computer picks angle."

Just a note on the card text that either ending on or attacking from a water space, whichever is the case, at the end of the turn will result in death. It is simple enough to have manually picked the spot had I known it mattered, that's all. It's a minor thing in this case; I was playing the AI, winning, had creatures to spare and was just mopping up... so no worries here, and now I know for future reference if I'm in the same situation. But I could see some people getting rather annoyed if, say, it happens in the finals of a league or something and it makes a difference in the game.

doesn t it use the phrase "movement not affected by terrain" ?

if that is the wording, i think a note would be overkill.

even if goosetamer had hover, it would die any turn where it ended on an ocean.

Haha this has happened to me.

I hate playing against goosetamers. They're tough and difficult to stop.

So I DO have a change for this card... please change "effected" to "affected" so that the card reads "Move not affected by terrain". :-)

well, it isn't effected by terrain either.. I haven't seen an escalator or peoplemover anywhere in the game.... The text is legit as is and doesn't need any nerfing! LOL
