I do this for almost all the time now.
It helps if you don't have enough good cards within any 2 domains,
meaning it is extremely useful in limited formats.

For those who's thinking "how to do that?",
Here are 2 of the ways to compose such deck:

1) 1 beginning domain + pantheon for the other 2 domains
For example, you have sylvan basic bases + pantheons
and in your deck, your 1 domain cards are all sylvan.
For the cards that require more than 1 domain you choose only
cards that only have 1 specified domain + neutral domains.
So, cards like lysis, cloud burst are fine but not something like beacon or volcano.

2) A domain and diplomats for big cards in various domain
This time we use the special property of diplomat that
it will only be auto-drawn when you have 2 or more domains already.
How will this help? Well, it ensure that you will likely to get bases on hand first
then diplomats. During the time you play with 1 domain you'll get to see what big, rare
card you get and play diplomat with the right domain to use it.
(*only works if you limit the number of those big cards from other domain not to be too many)

In brief, basically imagine the sequence of domains you will play and only put cards
that will be able to play in that sequence not cards that you will have it stuck in your hand
because you played some other domain first.

Nice write-up!

And here I will be nit-picky: Though you might not want to give Beacon as an example of something not to use if you're using Sylvan as your basic domain.

In the example he describes it makes sense to not include beacon. He describes having *3* domains, so the play will start off with a sylvan followed by a beacon, where the beacon gives the other two domains, not sylvan. Thus, you couldn't play the beacon until you had gotten 3 domain out, by which point it may well be too late to matter.

Exactly as kash said, the beacon is not worth putting in this 3 domain deck (that is if you constructed it my way).
One of the very valid reason is that not all of your creatures will be sylvan now.

Ah, I misread the "other." In fact, I just missed it completely. Thought it said 2 domains, rather than basic + 2 OTHER domains.

My mistake! Apologies!

I also like this write up.

I look forward to testing out new combos with my pantheneon to vapor decks.

As people that read this thread, might be interested in Deck Building, I've included the link...

Also, feel free to add an article to the wiki about multiple domain deck building.

Well working on the deck ive found one problem.

Vapor decks usually only run one base building because you dont want base buildings auto drawing.

Vapor and alabster is a kinda dangerous combo because if alabaster gets destroyed you get bent over for having to now autodraw and pay for 2 different auto drawn base buildings.
