Seems like you are leaving too though. I've been planning quitting for a long time, but seeing your collection-sale thread and many other players e.g. Voices leaving or taking a long break made the decision easier for me and helped me put the plan into action. :| And should be easier for you now too since you don't have to worry about falling behind me. :P

Wait... aren't you leaving UBER too? Why are you bidding... and why are you outbidding yourself!?

Because I'm cool. 8-)

Ill stay if I get a good price on these cards. Which the 60 hes asking is a great price. If I could afford it Id buy them now.

Voices is about to return, hopefully.. trying to persuade him for it for quite some time, but he needs bit more...
and it really makes me sad, to see another great player leaving :(

cheer up, there are still plenty of nice and promising new players around! And I'm not such a big loss, but Hithlum leaving a while ago was a shame though (and what happened to Galorix?)

Well Sooty doesn't have any cards anymore, save a few commons, now that I took back the stuff I had given him. Maybe he will stay if you offer to lend him cards for a good deck. ;)

Actually it might be that the game has little to offer for him in the future, because in merely a few weeks he had already all but mastered the part of this game that falls under what can be called skill, being already roughly as good as me. I know I'm not the best, I consider about 5 players to be surely better than myself, and about 15 others I consider equally skilled (no not all are in top 20). That being said, I think the skill differences in top 30 (not looking at only ratings again) or so are very small and insignificant compered matchups, but even then it takes only a month of serious and thoughtful playing for a new player to get there.

This is why TFW is unsatisfying for me, and I think the same applies to Sooty; it's not fun anymore when you have reached a skill plateau and can't noticeably improve your game anymore, no matter what you do. It becomes more of a matter of choosing the right deck, the so called metagame. Like you said yourself Zurken: "there is no way to build a deck that can beat both the rush decks you [=me] and Huger are using and the building deck Cave is using." You have to choose which one you prepare for or lose to both. This is one of the reasons I'm quitting, I can flip coins in a less time-consuming way if that was what I wanted.
