I have had time for exactly 3 games in the current Borderlands league. And yet I have 6 points. A few days ago my PC crashed, and I was on the phone with tech support for 110 minutes. (Yes, I timed it). I was NOT in a game with anyone when my PC stopped working. I was logged-in to TFW though. My best guess is that somehow I was entered into a game at this same time. Anywho, it would be interesting to know who sat around for 5 minutes and received 3 points for "beating" me. :cry:

Thank goodness I watched "The Proposal" last night with my wife, or the last 48 hours would have been a total waste! ;)

How have you managed to get 6 points in 3 games? Really can't see how this could be done :?
Thought a win = 3 pts, loss = 1pt..
Had a look on it a bit.. You've played 4 games.. so just miscalculation here..
sorry for interrupting with such a stupid thing.
(& dunno who was it also :( )

EDIT; yeah, probably didn't get you. Sorry mate! :roll:

I don't think you finished reading my post. Somehow I must have been entered into a 4th game when my PC crashed. Therefore, somebody sat around for 5 minutes while I was clearly not there just to gain 3 points in the Borderlands League. It would sure be interesting to know the name of this patient gamer. ;) Kudos to your patience! :|

I'm not sure how to handle this issue. I for one was terrified playing in GC, thinking that for some reason my computer might crash, the internet in my area would go down, or the power would go out (it was storming during one of my games).

Such is the nature of online competition I guess.

Maybe after a timeout the remaining player is given a "choice" to cancel the game entirely? I know a lot of people would probably still take the win (especially on intentional disconnects), but it would allow people to make an honorable decision.

"Losing" that game is not a big deal, but it sure would be nice if something positive came out of this. The option to cancel any game in which your opponent has disconnected for x # of minutes, EXCEPT in tournaments of course, would be a nice addition. It would give honor a fighting chance. ;) Great idea Sunyaku, AKA "Battlemage of the North".
