They've all been weakened a bit, which I think will be good overall.
With really powerful default decks, there wasn't as much incentive for new players to construct their own decks. Also, there wasn't much incentive to gather cards that were already in the default decks, because it took a lot more work to gather the cards needed to make a powerful default deck "better".
My only concern is that it may be more difficult to beat the AI with a default deck when you're just starting out. Perhaps a third difficulty level is needed? Easy for people playing with default decks, Medium for people testing their own constructed decks, and Hard for veterans who want a tough match to test their latest creation? If a player chooses a default deck, difficulty could default to easy (or manually changed to medium). If a player choose their own constructed deck, default to Medium (but again could manually be changed...). And maybe even restrict "Hard" mode to players with a certain constructed rating.

Well, as far as I can tell MF is still the same and DL and Sylvan took very minor hits. In fact, I think they could even be a bit better now, even though they have fewer rares. Sure they're going to require a bit more skill to play, but the weaknesses that we there before are now gone and most of the central strengths remain.

Sylvian default dcks is much more weaker than before. Tahts good becouse it was too strong for a default deck.
Now that you can use default deck cards in your own creation i think is tim e for a Elemental default deck.
(sorry for the bad english)

i only got to play with the old default decks for a couple of days, but the difference is VERY noticeable. all 3 decks got weaker. it's true that they all got a few extra tools they didn't have before, but what they gave up was largely consistency.
previously, if you were playing sylvan default the creatures available were more uniformly respectable. were cards like wider woods, decomposition, seedburst in the old version? because they are WAY too narrow to be useful in most battles. i often cycle them away when my hand is full.
each deck has quite a few cards like this that either do nothing in a tournament level constructed, or do not exist in large enough mass to form a coherent strategy.
as for whether this is desirable, it probably is. how else can you encourage people to spend some cash on the game? if these decks were too good, there would never be any motivation to buy cards. also, i haven't played against the AI on easy in a long time, but it's okay if they lose their first 2 games or so before they get the hang of it. after all, there are SO many rules in this game, and specific cases with different cards, it takes awhile to learn these things. i know i played all my games until i won 10 (for free intro league) against the comp, just so i could get the hang of the game mechanics..
