YES, jed, it is VERY important - if you play syl DL deck you definitely want (supposing you start with syl) DL to be your 2nd domain out and not another sylvan.
Fated is nice idea, but greatly disadvantages multicoloured decks (and other decks too. We've already discussed this.)
I think easy autodraw isn't the key point TFW needs, I'd really appreciate autodraw staying on it's level of complication now. Just on those cards write Autodraws and do it like {A,Autodraw} with easy description (gives you 1st A. card in your deck needed for your cards to be casted or something like that.)

The point of "fated" was to make things more clear. Right now if you just start playing the game you wont even realize there is autodraw until someone tells you. A keyword on the card would make it clear that the card would behave in a different way. Also now people must constantly ask if particular cards autodraw or not. Glimpse of Greatness,Treetop dominion, Furnace of Gibil do these autodraw?

Also it doesn't seem that different to me. For mono-domain decks it is the same. If you have multiple domains then it is a bit different but if you have an altar of ix and a great oak in your deck it do you really care that much in what order you get them.

If I understand correctly, there are two separate questions here.

The first question is whether autodraw should be a rule of the game, or a keyword ability of some cards. I definitely see the advantage of having it as a keyword. As you say, it would let new (and veteran) players immediately recognize that it exists, know which cards have it, and find out exactly how it works (by mousing over it). It would also open up design space (if you ever wanted a domain card that isn't Fated, you could make it).

The second question is how the rule/keyword should work. Should you always draw the domain you need, or just the first one from your deck? Here, I agree with Headshot and Zurken. The fact that you never, ever have to worry about getting the right domain is a very strong point of TFW. Random inability to play your cards is the most unfun way to lose a game, as anyone who has lost a game of M:tG to color/mana screw can attest.

Cycling helps, but each cycling costs you a card, and worse, it costs you a turn of inaction (while you wait to draw the replacement). On top of that, you're not guaranteed to draw the domain you need even after cycling, so we might be looking at 2 cards and 2 turns, or 3 cards and 3 turns. It's usually impossible to come back from that kind of disadvantage.

Wouldn't it be possible to keep the current functionality, while making it a keyword?
It would make the mouse-over text longer, but that seems well worth the benefits. Are there any additional downsides that I'm missing?
