Developing weapon skills is definitely faster stats than gathering.

What do you do to increase spirit? I've lost a couple PvP fights against people my level who just outlasted me with all defense and more charms (spirit) than I have. I've only seen a couple skills that increase it (Courage for taking on people higher level and Spirituality which I haven't figured out how to increase).

Level 6 now and I just beat a level 9 who attacked me so that gives me another 5 points in self defense. :)

BTW: At this level, Pirate Hats are awesome.

are all the skills that specifically boost spirit.

Particularly, courage, heroism, spirituality, and cheat death are the ones you can get by level 10. Cheat death is the trickiest, I got it on the prarie sprite in arena at level 7 on all my characters. I got heroism at inachis battle tournament, mostly through out turtling the first 3 fights via the extra spirit I had obtained from the other skills.

I hope that helps.

Now that I understand what you need to do, using arena Spirituality is easy to raise. Just go against the critter using 1 more charm than they have and not quite enough damage to kill them. A bit trickier to get Cheat Death as you need to get just enough protection in there to survive.

Planning to go Fighter first after that looking at:
Wizard -> Pyro
or
Merc -> Champion or Berzerker

For those curious, my cheat death deck at level 7 w/78 hp. just attack prairie sprite, has a 95% chance for winning with cheat death.

Selected gear: 18/21 charms
Worn Leather Chest x1
Rat Cloak x5
Bronze Helm x5
Small Ice Wand x5
Stolen Light Wand x2

Rat Cloak is crafted in the marketplace in Inachis (great place for charms, btw).

Unfortunately, I didn't figure out Cheat Death on my main before I leveled past the 'easy' cheat deaths, so I'm going to have to figure out the Lvl 10 Fighter Arena battles.. which is substantially trickier.

Theres no need to "train" weapon skills when they increase through dungenons.

If you can consitently win the extreme gatherings its much better to spend action points on that.

If you were going to train any battle stats it better to train survival, tactician or the other stats like that that wont naturally increase on your progress to lvl 10 when you can increase your mastery lvls.

Edit: I dont even use my action points at all for anything other than work or dungeons. When my charecters can get the extreme gatherer skills efficiently Ill use it on that otherwise theres no real need.

Just curious, that game does not have its own forum?

Maybe we can move to a guild forum on the Estiah-site once the guild is established?

I'd be interested in joining that, btw.
Krazieork, lvl 12, planning to become Fighter -> Wizard -> Summoner

The dungeons you can do are mostly limited by the ability to move between cities and the reset times on them. I am using arena to train skills in weapons I don't normally use simultaneously while training my +hp and +spirit skills (Cheat Death, Spirituality, and Survival).

Old Goblin has 43hp, deals out 115 physical non-piercing damage with a total of 16 runes. Easy to raise Cheat Death with a 17-rune deck that does a little less damage than he can take while putting up just enough cumulative armor to keep from dying. Similar to the Sprite. I'm using:
1xProtect
5xCaptain's Hat
3xRandom Ward Gear
3xStone Swords, 3xFang Daggers, 2x Stone Axe
(low damage weapons I haven't mastered)
(47 melee total damage and goblin uses 3 helms so no chance of killing him accidently. 7+35 cumulative armor so I should always end with 1hp or 8hp unless I get unlucky and have all the armor clustered at the end of both decks.)

Stats from skills don't count towards the 900 although they increase your level as you get them, so it's generally good to get ANY stat from skills, but +hp and +sp are the key foci.

Mostly focused on getting runes when hitting dungeons. Although they'll all be eclipsed eventually, they're far better than anything available from vendors and that makes everything else easier. Generally I can handle content +1 to +2 levels over my own without too much trouble and I expect that will increase as I level.

Cheat Death:
do some +HP skills, get on 7th level - I'm there now with 85HP and as the Prairie Sprite can do 83 dmg I added all armor I found into gear (it deals only magic damage and I need 17 Charms), rest filled with weak Charms - and oala 100% chance for Cheath Death =)
maybe you'd want some Skill in types you don't have - make it dealing bit over 35HP as that's it's HP - and if accidentaly happens that you kill you'll get at least Survival (which takes much longer to make as it's only 3 skill points per fight.)
