LMAO So people are lining up to get raped by LA's deck? That is too funny. And it begs the question, is it really rape if you consider it an "honor" to be rapified? jk of course, but still amusingly quaint... DarkJello P.S. I am not a fan of hide in the corner decks either. But variety truly is the spice of life, so why not TFW too? Kudos to your ability to rapify in such a unique way LA!!!

Thanks for all the complements. This deck is not going to be retired, simply put into the mix with all my others. I have made five new decks that you will all hopefully get the pleasure of facing off against soon.
Any time you want a chance to face off against the elephants (or any of my others), if im online and not in game, send a challenge, im always up for playing. Im glad to be the test subject of strategies you make specifically to beat me.
And if anyone wants details of all the weaknesses ive found in my own deck, just chat with me. im not trying to hide them. i get better when you all beat me. ^_^

I fully admit that combo decks that cannot be countered should not exist in the game, but combo decks that only have a reasonable chance to win when people expect them and have a deck that can beat it and still have a chance against other decks is required. Such decks are necessary to shake up the environment. It prevents specific decks from dominating the environment. Every deck needs to be counterable and one of the best ways to accomplish this is to create a large variety of deck types.
By creating more variety in the game, you keep people interested in the game. Without striving to maintain variety, we will find that due to balancing, things often start resembling other things and people's interest wane.
One thing that I can comment on though is the fact that from playing in borderlands betas, as borderlands gets more and more integrated into the environment, enchantment control will be more and more necessary and decks like the highly prelevant DL and this combo deck will become less potent. Enchants can be game deciding and DL should always be weak at handling them.

Every deck needs to be counterable and one of the best ways to accomplish this is to create a large variety of deck types. Of course we should strive for variety, but IMHO the less rock-paper-scissor dynamics between decks the better. What I mean is that the fewer matches that are decided mostly by deck match up the better. Rock-paper-scissor should be a large part of the dynamics within games, not between decks. One of the best things with TFW is that most every game I end up in is possible to win, with a bit of luck, tactics and a balanced deck. This is partly due to the focus on creatures and buildings, and that's why we need to keep an eye on the trick cards to keep them from going from spice to dominant features. Coming up with tricky decks is a great part of the game though - I just think that once they're identified they should be nerfed.

I tend to agree with LethalArtist, and I've posted on this subject before, even though I'm having trouble finding sage wisdom of the past. Deck fads come and go, and each new fad evolves the game in some way, makes players aware of some ridiculous combo, and if they're not careful, they'll succumb to it.
While I haven't played against LethalArtist's deck, it sounds like it 'might' be something people will just get used to. Occasionally, however, nerfs are needed... like in the case of some of the effects of Foreshadowing Ragnorok, for example... for those of you that were around when that was OP.
In general though, I think decks that don't directly interact with the other player on the game board are painfully boring.

no offense, but it's hardly original. back when altren ran the 'fastest way to get win' competition, it was one of the first combos people went for. ultimately there were more insane ones, but I'm too lazy to look up the thread now.
as for 'should it be nerfed'? one-trick pony decks are annoying, but there's ultimately no guarantee you're going to draw the cards you need. I'd guess that in a really competitive tourney, they'd win about 2/3rds the time at most, which isn't enough to take it without a whole lot of luck. I'm fine with leaving it as is for now, but if it becomes a big problem it should be looked at. I haven't played against his deck, so I could just be blowing hot air.

@monyx
As the discoverer (is that a word O.O) of flood/globe, I am going to disagree with you. I was glad to see it nerfed. Although as you know i did buy a few globes with intent to sell them before a nerf, I only lost like 12 gold and the nerf was good for the game. I never said it was not OP, I did say it was not a bug due to the wording of taken and flood...
