Ok, here's a little story. Our brave hero in this story found a great online TCG and started to play it. It was a lot of fun so he tried all the different types of games that were possible; drafting, leagues, tournaments, and even scenarios. But all this time there was one version of the game, that he did not try. The rules were unclear, very few people seemed to play, and worst of all it was really expensive! Then one day no one was in Domain, no one was in Sim, no one was in Any, no one wanted to Shark Tank or KC, so he tried the BATTLE DRAFT. And you know what...it was awesome. It had all the greatest elements of FW without any benefit for spending the most money and owning the best cards. And it had this great twist where you could see each others cards which changed all the strategy dramatically and made it so balanced.

If you've enjoyed this story (which I hope you have) please sign my petition to ask Jed to please change the entry price of Battle Draft to 10 gold. At 40 gold it is very expensive to play (more so than any other form of FW I think since you only get one game and no cards to keep), but it would allow new players to experience a whole new version of FW if they can even get third place in the EC and one power. Also I suspect that FW would earn almost as much from it since it would get played quite a bit more. Anyway if you'd read all this go ahead and sign my petition.

Haven't tried it...looks like fun...can't think of a reason both the 40 gold version and a 10 gold version couldn't exist.

I agree. I've played 2 of these and loved them. But no one wants to play them because they are so expensive (sadface). However, I think there may be a reason for the price. If you want to have more fun (?), you have to risk more gold. But I would definitely like to see a cheaper one. I wouldn't make it cheaper than zwar though, 20 gold or 2 power?

Edit: I do think something needs to be done about the time limits. 7 of the 8 BDs I've watched were really intense right until someone timed out...(hope that doesn't count as hijacking the thread >.>)
