Meh, why stop there? Far as I can tell, with only knowing what people play/have played in the past... 7/9 decks in that EC used Ix/NP.

Hm... in the previous EC alone... Angelatheist, CuttingEdge, Emancipate, Krakhoar, DarkJello... those are the ones I remember.

Here is the scoop, fair and balanced:

1st: Cuttingedge"100"--DL/DL/DL
2nd: Angelatheist--DL/DL/MF
3rd: Emancipate--Sylv/DL/DL
4th: Krakhoar--DL/DL/Ele

All used Altar of Ix in their decks. Only logical, as it often allows you to get to 3rd domain faster AND have as much or more flux as someone who is most likely still at 2nd domain. That is HUGE!!!

I did NOT have Altar of Ix in my deck last night Atahualpa.

The list of players that use Altar of Ix when they run DL is so big I am not gonna even bother to mention any names... I mean, you are talking about most of the top 50 or so players in the world. It is what it is. Totally understandable that players battle to win.

I am staying Zen and allowing things to work themselves out. I'm really not worried about letting Nether Plasm/Ix become so super-saturated that it becomes undeniable.

Same thing happened before with other cards and it eventually was fixed. Hell, we make jokes about how powerful some of those cards were. But at the time, when there were discussions about those cards there were players that felt that the cards were fine as they were.

The thing that is strange to me (other than players apologizing and saying np/ix is op'd as they are using it) is that you make powerful cards 3 domain so a player has to take some time in order to cast it. But then give one domain the ability to gain flux and domain at a very high rate. BTW a domain with some of the most powerful 3 domain stuff in the game

3 domain power by domain....

DL...Agent of Death, Blind Assassin, Barbed Necrath, Castle Dunmar, Claimed by Blood, Deathmark, Disiccating Elder, Duchess of Dunmar, Eye of Varexes, Jouneyman Necromancer, Foul Termite Infestation, Lord of Chaos, Nightmares, Possession, Reanimate, Skull Catapult, Soul Plague, The Nothing, Tortured Ghost, Traitorous Foundations, Yarlinian Fiend

Ok I just felt dirty typing that list and then looking at the other domains 3 domain stuff. I'm not even going to list the other domains, go take a look for yourself and you'll see what I mean. No other domain comes close in my opinion to the amount and variety of 3 domain cards as DL. So hey, why not make it so they can also gain flux and domain faster then the other factions...lol.

BTW I thought I'd get more responses in Haiku form...LOL

You should try your hand at poetry until Ix and Plasma are nerfed. Then you can come back and kick ass bro.

Altough I really hope Ix will be fised in the end, Im also against any fast fixing. Balancing should happen slowly, letting people discuss and find out if it really is so OP or bad for the game. So I urge people not to get mad just because thinks arent fixed right away when people start to complain about it. This problem will probably be fixed sometimes in the future. When that is said, I dont think fixing Ix now would be too soon.

A voice of reason from some random cave in TFW...

And I congratulate you on your English skillZ, as they are very good considering your lineage as a bone-crushing troll that probably does not shower frequently. :P

Yet another vote in favor of nerfing the Altar of Ix.

I agree with Cavetroll, I didn't start this tread in order to hold the proverbial gun to anyone's head on changing ix/np. Slow change is good change, maybe the amount of games I play caused me to notice it quicker. But, I think the amount of games, how long I've been playing and mostly my hope that the game stays balanced and fun, motivates me.

What I do find interesting is that there are no players coming out saying that np/ix is fine as it is. But, I have always said that this community is filled with intelligent people who want whats best for the game.
