I think it is more than a little odd that a Dwarven Hall now costs the same as an Earthworks,

It is because Dwarven Hall gives you domain. Leveling up should be something that is expensive to do. You should level up at the expense of playing a more interesting card now like the earthworks.

You need to make basic creatures more common in the packs then. I've had trouble filling ranks with level 1 mountain creatures, for instance

It's notoriously difficult to get useful level 1 dwarves. Are there any?

The Undead get Putrid Zombie, Leprous shambles and Hell Cats. Sylvans get Falcons. Elementals have for example Sleet Mogis. Dwarves? The best they can hope for is a Lawn Gargoyle.

Please enlighten me if I am wrong.

I've played almost exclusively Dwarven since the game started. My typical/ideal strategy was a Hall and an Ord Stone round one, which is dead now that the Hall costs 7... but I always tried for the Diplomat ASAP as a cheaper level booster, and/or a Pantheon. Craig Scouts, Lawn Gargoyles and Earthworks are about the best early-game I can pull. I typically try to throw a Steam Charge as close to their base as possible early on as a decoy/stall tactic also.. Stone Masons aren't a horrible early investment since you can't defend your buildings, at least you can rebuild them.. but Dwarven Warriors are pitiful as the main defense early on.

I will not comment the changes as I'm here not long enough.

However, the list of changes could be more transparent to readers (minding that some of us are new and using shortages or simplified thoughts/expressions or "thing was nerfed" for instance is not good at all and doesn't help newer players).

Have these changes gone into effect? I was hoping/expecting to have the 5 base buildings in my deck, but it's still limiting me to 3. Maybe I waited for the wrong Monday...

Sorry everything is in except the 5 base building thing. That will be in by next monday if not sooner.

Yes the rarity balance needs to be adjusted to give people more level one stuff.

As far as first level MF you have:
Stone Mason
Dwarven Warrior
Home Guard
Craig Scout
Animate Boulder
Galom's Prospectors
Apprentice Timesap

granted they don't have a lot of offense at level one but they have great defense (Home Guard) and good scouting. The best army I've seen is still a MF army so...

I agree there. The MF will not function as a raiding army. If you want that, play Sylvan. MF sometimes struggle early on, but there are plenty of times that I can get a first-round Hall followed by either a magma chamber or a Pantheon, which I use to bring in a Diplomat.. and in very short time you have Dagg Cannon and Elite Veterans roaming the fields.. That's not something to turn your nose up at. I have actually not played a solid deck of any other domain, the closest I got was tinkering with a Sylvan/MF combo deck. It all comes down to picking the right domain for your tactics. Not that I would mind seeing a few more one-domains MF weenies, but I wouldn't say they are a particularly weak army without them either.

Agreed. If I'm doing any kind of double-domaining, MF is going to be one of them for me. The base+ord stone opening combination, if you're lucky enough to draw it, more than makes up for their weakness out of the gate.

They killed that combo by upping the flux cost of a base, unfortunately :-( I used to love that opening.

I played with sample decks only so far so it might differ in normal game but actually Home Guards seem to be quite handy to me.
It's cheap, early wall perfect for protecting your base.

What's really the problem with the cheap, 1st domain cards in the MountainFolks?
