i dont personally see this card as op as much as it is annoying.....sure losing ur flux is annoying. noone likes it. it can be hard to come back from. but almost everyone knows about dispell flux now and knows how to play around it. It does encourage rush decks. but the largest gap ur gonna encounter is losing 2 flux early game....the caster spends four and usually the opponent has 6. if for some reason you have more than 6 then i suggest you tweak ur deck cause something isnt working right. aside from this the obvious use for dispell is salvage counter. but without dispell flux there are some decks out there that are gonna rape. basically any ix orb deck. dispell flux is a necessary counter for a deck like this. almost the only way to stop an ix orb deck is to stop it from being cast. and one of the few cards that can make this possible is dispell flux. i have to agree with queesh as well when he says other cards are much more powerful. the main problem with the card is that it encourages rush decks but i dont think it can be helped cause that what the card is designed to do. obviously a card is gonna be used where it is needed. this card is needed in the land of rush. this card is not op. it may be annoying tho. that ill agree on.

I think you are forgetting one very important thing, and that is that a two flux loss early game vs a rush deck = 80% chance of losing (vs a good player) unless you are playing some fluxacceleration deck. The only way to beat this if you dont have flux backup is to make sure u never let him dispell more than max 4 flux. Even that could be devestating vs a rush deck though.

when that is said, I still dont know if the card is OP, but it do make it hard/stupid to play aloth of cool decks that is a little slow.

I actually like this card. I think it builds tension since when you are over 4 flux you start to worry about it.
Seems like the biggest problem with this card is its use in rush decks. So what about making it cost 4XX ?

Making it 2-domain seems fine. Dispel Flux could also switch abilities with Spite.

Right now I always consider including it in any deck, even those heavy on flux use. That's not a good sign!

Meh to both of those. I like the card the way it is. It's a very versatile card that can be used in any deck. I'm actually proposing we increase the cost by 1 flux so rush decks are limited to a 1 flux weenie instead of using the huge majority of two and 1 flux weenies. Or just make it 6 flux cost if rushing is that bad.

i like all three suggestions...

2 domain, 5 flux, or swap with spite...

no real problem with this card other than I agree with the complaints that it being able to be cast soooo early in game in a deck for of 1 flux critters=swarm with very few ways to defend.

How about "you can't cast in the first 7 rounds of the game." added? That way weenie rushes can't dispel until the other guy's a bit more prepared.

I think nerfing dispel flux is a bad idea. dispel flux is easily available to NEW players and lets them make competitive decks very early on.

meanwhile, cards I mentioned earlier (ord stone, trade routes, trunk hermit, land of dreams, gaze, hadarck's fort, turmoil, prospector's, flash flood, blind assassin, paladin of xosa) are bigger early game breakers. and the list goes on. are we going to make them more difficult to play, too??

I like Psyclone's idea elsewhere about making all the cards weaker, effectively putting less focus on deck building and more focus and battlefield tactics. but, this requires nerfing all the powerful cards ... not just the one that hurts some peoples' preferred deck.

making it 4XX barely nerfs it. All it does it make it less valuable to rush decks.

I actually want to try a format with a lot of the powerful cards missing and see if it is more fun.
