It is only mountains spaces without buildings that effect movement.

I think what Altren meant was, when he does a volcano under his building. It's now a building on a mountain, so it won't be able to be attacked.
Limiting where buildings can be built could be kind of bad. There are times when the only way to gain control of a node is to build on a mountain tile. In that case Dark Legion and Sylvan would both be unable to capture that flux point. The Mountain Folks only building to be placed there would be a Heart of the Mountain.

but if there is a building on a mountain, even if the mountain came about because of a volcano then the barrier peaks wouldn't apply to that space.

So you've changed it so buildings on mountains can be attacked?

Something else that happened a few weeks ago with Barrier Peaks.
There was an archer shooting at one of my units. There was a fog patch infront of him so I couldn't see what kind of tile it was (turns out it was a mountain). I moved my unit to attack the archer, only way I could attack is from the front where the fog patch is located. So the battle screen part said Zwidar unit attacking, but nothing happened, my unit didn't move and didn't do any damage to anything. It dimmed my unit though, so I wasn't able to use the unit to attack something else.
If a unit can't move onto a tile that you can't see, it should give some sort of message, like: "Unit can't move there." That way you can use that unit for something else, instead of being dimmed and had a turn wasted.
