wow, this thread has taken many directions

but as to the whole how to keep noobs problem, i figured that being a certified noob myself, i might wanna throw in my two cents. id have to say the biggest problem for noobs as far as i can tell, is deck construction. Take my brother, he kept losing to me and couldn't figure out why and it made him mad, so he has basically quit the game. I decided to go and look at his deck....it had 63 cards in it, i asked him why...he said they were all good. I think it would be helpful to give new players links to some "how to build a deck" threads when they start, because usually by the time they would decide to check out the forums, they are already mad at the game and done with it.of course, if they don't read them, they don't help...but illiteracy is a topic for another day.

Shameless BUMP! Let's discuss this stuff again.

[EDIT] Well, this thread certainly went astry towards then end, but there are still some useful insights displayed early on...

A relatively cheap (free?!) and straightforward way to reach out to old, registered accounts/players would be to send out a massive group mail. After all, a lot has changed with Borderlands. We have also seen the advent of scenarios and a new tutorial. There are something like 34k registered members... It could be worth a mail to try to get some of them back into TFW.
