His stats should change to @ attack/ 6 HP. It's too cheap of a card for an insta-kill on most low- level creatures.

I think the major limitation on placement and the fact that he can't move balances it alright.

And that even once he does damage, that creature can do something the next round. Meaning you get a whole 'nother round to potentially save him.

But it's still guaranteed damage to a creature who is dimmed and next to the spawn point. I think it should be more of an area denial weapon rather than a direct damage weapon. Maybe change it so that it damages anything that moves through a radius 1 hex from it, and the effect begins during the next round. Otherwise it costs 1 flux to do 3-18 total damage to all adjacent creatures.

Let me know next time you have six creatures dimmed around a forest.

I for one think tangler is fine as is.
If you want to lower its HP, fine with me... who ever really attacks a tangler anyways? The only ones I've seen die died of black plague.

Heh, that creature is so narrow already. When i played with tangler in my deck, it was deadly stuck in hand half the games. Though i agree, that health reduction won't hurt Oh, and why tangler ain't treent?

People should be aware of the dangers of clustering their creatures. Be it Volcano, Flash Powder, Combustion, Lightning Bolt or Tangler. They don't do it in the military and neither should you.
