Jed, it will be good idea to make such thing. Will be need in jury which will discuss BALANCE and ACTUALITY of cards.
For every card made subsequently authors will receive gold.

Heck I think it would be neat if everyone who reported an actual bug got 5 gold per bug, every card idea used 10 gold, and every other community idea that was implemented be given gold according to the value it held for the devs. This would serve as payment for the work that the community has done, but I know it would be a pain for TFW to track and implement when they have more important things on their plate.

May be it's ok with bugs because it's quiet easy to track if it already was reported and not report it twice, but often users asking about or reporting bug without looking at map and card description to realize that everything ok and there's no bug. If we'll start giving gold for it more players will report before checking that it's bug and we'll have fake bugs reports flood. Same problem with card ideas because you won't read all of them and add your card that could be same as several other users already suggested. P.S. Just IMHO  I don't know what Jed think about it.

That's why I was trying to emphasize that ONLY ideas that are actually used, or bugs that are fixed receive any kind of reward for the effort.

Man I don't know about you, but I don't do this for the compensation. Gold seems unnecessary.

I don't care too much either way myself, but I remember awhile back there was a thread discussing whether or not there should be some sort of Beta participation incentives... and this thread just reminded me of that topic.
