The winner of the Grand Clash will win $1,000 and runners up will receive varying amounts of gold. The Grand Clash Constructed Tournament will be held twice a year to determine the current Far Wilds World Champion. There will be ongoing preliminary tournaments from now until the start of the Grand Clash. This will give people a chance to refine their strategies against other players and experiment with various army designs. There are 16 Qualifying Tournaments leading up to the Grand Clash Tournament. The Qualifiers are free to enter and open to everyone. The winner of each Qualifying Tournament will get a seat at the Grand Clash final round. The first Qualifying Tournament will be Sunday December 28th. Exact time will be announced in the game soon. The Grand Clash final round will be a 16 person double elimination tournament. Grand Clash Prizes: -1st Place – $1,000 cash -2nd Place – 6000 gold -3rd Place – 3000 gold -4th Place – 1500 gold Qualifier Schedule: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=725

Can we get any info on format? Constructed or Limited? Mix of the two, perhaps?

what happens when someone wins a qualifier twice? does the next person qualify, or are you not allowed to enter if you've won?

Once you win one Qualifier you can't play in the others.

Can we please get running updates on these, preferably in the forums, and more advance notice on the prelim tourney times? I haven't been able to make one yet and there is some confusion about how many have even been played so far.
[EDIT=add] The flash client currently has an announcement that the Second Tourney is "coming up" yesterday almost twelve hours ago. I missed that, as would anyone on the older client, but I still think these should be done in the forums also, and an upcoming schedule would be nice so we can possibly plan around playing in one. Agreed. If they aren't announced in advance, I'll probably won't get to play in one.

If Sun can't get into one, then I refuse to acknowledge whoever wins as the World Champ  I understand that they are at all different times of the day to allow different time zones to play, and think that was a great idea, but please allow us to plan ahead for them too.

I sent an email to all the Grand Clash Qualifiers. If you didn't get an email please email me so I have your correct address. jed @ this domain.
The tournament will be next weekend. Exact time is still to be decided.
PS If anyone sees Cankles please tell him to email me. He is the only one I didn't have.
