I makes you wonder if the sylvan default deck is too strong (relatively speaking), or if the other two default decks are too weak... if only the sylvan default deck seems to have a chance in a tournament. I have heard discussion and most of what I have heard is that the sylvan default deck is the best. This supports that. Any chance of reconfiguring the other two so that not every noob uses sylvan?

sylvan is strong, but easily beat. when I was using only defaults, I could reliably beat sylvan in at least 3/4 matches using the default DL deck. The mf deck is relatively weak, but can still be used to good results if played well.
any non-default, tourney-quality deck is almost assured a win against a default deck if you know the default weaknesses.
the two sylvan default wins were relatively low turnout qualifiers. I admit I lost to a default sylvan last round of the 2nd one, but I was being silly and using a 'fun' deck instead of a serious tourney deck.
I think things are fine as is. MF could use a little improvement, but the other two are about right. I'm assuming default decks will change with the new set as well so this discussion may be a bit moot.

Really jed? That'll make things interesting..
Will the starter (purchased) decks be changing as well?
Also, is there any time to expect more details about the tourney itself or should I just watch my email?
